In some cases, tuition and room and board costs can be deducted from your income tax as a medical expense. Check with your accounting professional to find out if you can qualify for this deduction.
Also, check with your health insurance company to find out if your health insurance policy may cover some of the costs of private education.
Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance is available for those who qualify. If you're interested in determining if you would qualify for a private loan, we work with an independent loan organization called Clark Behavioral Health Financing. Loans can cover tuition, enrollment fees and miscellaneous expenses including transportation to and from the program. They feature multiple loan products with competitive rates, and a possible deferral of interest for up to 6 months with no prepayment penalties or cancellation fees.
With many loan companies to choose from and because the loan qualification and application process can be confusing, we recommend calling Clark Behavioral Health Financing. They work with many families each year to help guide them through the loan qualification and application process. Even if you don't qualify for a loan, they will advise ways in which you might qualify, including adding a co-signer or considering credit repair. Typically, Clark Behavioral Health Financing can complete the entire loan process in 5 business days.

Special Medical Needs
New Leaf Academy has established relationships with many fine professionals including dentists, orthodontists, pediatricians and dermatologists. We also work with two Board Certified psychiatrists who specialize in child psychiatry.
International Students
New Leaf Academy is prepared to accept international students. We are an approved school of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and can generate the required I-20 form for a student to participate in the New Leaf Academy program for as long as needed. Students who are being considered for international placement should have enough competence in the English language to understand basic daily instruction and read English at a third grade level. With advanced notice, we can arrange for an interpreter for family sessions to accommodate parents who are not English proficient.
